2024 Social Bowl & Brews
We kicked off the season early this year beginning mid-June with the Bowl & Brews on Friday evenings. Our club members have enjoyed introducing the sport to people of all ages and encourage everyone to come out and give it a try! No special equipment required – just flat-soled shoes and $10 cash for admission. We supply the equipment and the instruction. Georgian Mic provided great live music one night in July and will be back for the final night on August 30th. There is a great selection of beers and coolers from our cash bar.

Drawmaster Brian Death presents first place honours to Steve McFadden and Eric Weatherall of Chesley with three wins and 45+4 points.
Second place was awarded to Sandy Weatherall and Andy Kaufman of Chesley with 40+1 points.
Lynn Beaton and Helmut Volk of the Roselawn Bowling Club in Owen Sound took third place with 40 points.
Judy Schaming and Brenda Eckhardt of Mount Forest took home fourth place with 39 points.

July 18, 2024 Bowls@TheBeach Tournament

Congratulations to our first place winners, Sandra Furzacott and Greg Irvine of Muskoka Lawn Bowling Club.
Our SSLBC club members Brian Death and Jean Morrison won second prize.
Valerie and Paul Heyden of the Elora Lawn Bowling Club were the third place winners.
Fourth place honours were awarded to Sandy and Jim Mills of the Saugeen Shores Lawn Bowling Club.
First-time tournament player Dorothy Smart partnered with Mark Evans, both members of the SSLBC, to win the consolation prize.
2024 Nellie Perry Tournament
Charlotte Panagapka presented the Nellie Perry trophy to Sandy and Eric Weatherall from Chesley, who successfully defended their win in 2023.
Drawmaster Brian Death presented the 2nd place prize to Duffy O’Recht and Don Clark of Walkerton.
Ray Porter and Dave Mensher of the SSLBC took home the 3rd prize money.
Loretta Whitfield and Paulette Turner of Hanover took home the 4th place prize.
The consolation prize was awarded to Katie Schuknecht and Andy Kaufman.
2023 Social Bowl & Brews
Many thanks to our Gold sponsor Three Sheets Brewing for their support to make these weekly events possible. People of all ages have joined us on Friday evenings for tutorial sessions beginning at 6 p.m., followed by games at 7 p.m. No special equipment required, just wear your flat shoes. Come out and experience for yourself why they say that lawn bowling is easy to learn, but a lifetime to master!

2023 Harvest Bowl Tournament
Our Harvest Bowl was a great success. Thank you to Southampton Foodland for donating the ham and turkey for our dinner with all the trimmings. Club member Dan Turner won this beautiful chrysanthemum in the draw.
Drawmaster Brian Death awarded first place to Janet and Tom Garland of Walkerton who scored a perfect 54 points over three games.
Jim Ansell and John Fearnall of Roselawn Bowling Club in Owen Sound with three wins.
Sandy and Eric Weatherall of Chesley took third place with two wins and 44 points.
Katie Schuknecht and Diane Trask of Chesley won two games with 39 points total for fourth place.
Bob Ambeau and Scott Worthington of the Saugeen Shores Lawn Bowling Club received the consolation prize.

The Nellie Perry Tournament was held on June 21 and we are grateful to KnK Lawn Care, Roote’s Gas Bar and Century 21 Realty for their sponsorship of this event.
Jean Morrison hands off the Nellie Perry Trophy, which honours her 103-year-old mother, to Eric and Sandy Weatherall of Chesley.
Dave Mensher and Ray Porter of our club won second place with three wins and no losses.
Gladys Williams and Donna Eagles of Meaford are congratulated for their third place finish by Brian Death.
